LFSCART Light Winter Series - Results

The penultimate round of the LFSCART Light Winter Series 2010 was held on the historic Blackwood Grand Prix track.  After two safety car-filled rounds at Fern Bay and South City, the relatively vast spaces of Blackwood was welcomed by the drivers.  Only one safety car intervention late in the race occured when Lims Chebbi spun at the end of the back straight and needed assistance to get out of the gravel.  Many drivers had problems at the notorious chicane, taking trips through the grass and the escape route.  Adam Pettigrew retired due to suspension damage suffered at that location, and Simon Murphy finished a clean fourth.  This means that Murphy only needs to qualify and not get a Disqualification to clinch the title at the final round to be held on March 12th from the Kyoto Oval.

LFSCART Light Winter Series - Results

After a somewhat controversial and quite action-filled race at South City, which had an astonishing 13 protests filed, the official results are now finally out.  Series newcomer Rudy van Buren takes the win in a one-lap sprint to the finish after a late-race Safety Car period.  Seventeen of the 29 starters finished, with retirements coming from mostly Connection losses or accidents.  Many penalties were levied as a result of the protests, altering the results significantly.

LFSCART Light Winter Series - Results

The fourth round of the 2010 LFSCART Light Winter Series was held from the tight, twisty, and challenging Gold Course at Fern Bay.  The race was marred by multiple safety car interventions early, but later in the race some decent-length green flag runs were in action.  Simon Murphy for Something Awful Racing took his third win of the season, with Adam Pettigrew and Yann Laprevotte rounding out the podium.

LFSCART Light Winter Series - Results

The results of the Aston 140 are now official.  Simon Murphy of Something Awful took his second win of the season, with Reint Jan Hoiting and Roger Salama rounding out the podium.  Jarl Teien was second finisher at the finish, but was moved back to 14th after a 45-second time penalty for dangerous driving under the safety car, a penalty that was also assigned to Eimantas Kasperiunas.  Nicolas Vallee was given a 1 lap penalty for overtaking the field under safety car and gaining a lap back.  Click "read more" to view full results.
