The penultimate round of the LFSCART Light Winter Series 2010 was held on the historic Blackwood Grand Prix track. After two safety car-filled rounds at Fern Bay and South City, the relatively vast spaces of Blackwood was welcomed by the drivers. Only one safety car intervention late in the race occured when Lims Chebbi spun at the end of the back straight and needed assistance to get out of the gravel. Many drivers had problems at the notorious chicane, taking trips through the grass and the escape route. Adam Pettigrew retired due to suspension damage suffered at that location, and Simon Murphy finished a clean fourth. This means that Murphy only needs to qualify and not get a Disqualification to clinch the title at the final round to be held on March 12th from the Kyoto Oval.
NOTE: Car 03 (A. Moroz) is issued a warning for an incident on lap 49. The driver is also placed on probation for the LFSCART Light Winter Series 2010 Final Round.
