After the month of June, the teams and drivers of LFSCART returned to the road racing realm.  With 5 races left, the championship race would be wide open still, and a tricky track that can heavily punish mistakes could facilitate that happening.

Simon Cattell won the pole, taking his second of the season.  He lead for the first half of the race, and lost it at the mandatory pitstop.  Championship leaders Robbin Heijerman, Jarl Teien, and Sebastian Hutchinson had issues early on dropping them back, benefitting Simon even after he lost the lead.  However, a safety car was called in the last third of the race for Chris Wilkinson being beached in the turn 4 gravel, setting up a spectacular finish.  My3id's Jarno Lehikoinen made his compulsory pitstop just before the safety car came out, giving him fresh boots.  The others in the top 5 were on race-long tyres, and a few elected to pit, including Simon Cattell who returned to the track in second place, behind his teammate Isaac Price.

On the restart, Cattell and his fresh rubber played a massive advantage over the cold and worn tyres on Price.  Going into the downhill chicane, Cattell took the lead, but into the final turn, Price retakes.  Going down the main straight, Cattell would draw alongside, and both drivers went side-by-side through Turn 1.  Contact was made on the exit, sending both drivers off the track in a major incident, which collected other drivers, and let Jarno Lehikoinen into the lead.  Lehikoinen's lead would last not more than a corner before rookie driver to the series, Sampsa Jurvansuu would power around the outside a Turn 3 to take the lead.  Not looking back, and keeping his race-long tyres going gave him his maiden LFSCART victory.  Robbin Heijerman, who had spun on the safety car's inlap, finshed in the second position.  Lehikoinen spun on the final lap while chasing Jurvansuu, ending up 5th.  Points haul good for Heijerman n, but all others lost ground to the Dutchman.

The series will head to South City for the Grand Prix of South CIty at the South City Long Reversed configuration.  Robbin Heijerman and Sebastian Hutchinson will be missing this round they report, due to family holidays, which will serve to significantly affect the championship.  Race date is Saturday, 23rd July 2011, with coverage slated to be LIVE on multiBC Stream I starting from 18:30 UTC.
