The season finale was held at its traditional location of Kyoto, Japan, but not at the traditional circuit. Past seasons ended on the Oval Reversed, this season ended on the long and challenging Kyoto Grand Prix Long Circuit, with boothy chicane. Forty-four laps were scheduled, making this race a long and challenging one. Four drivers came into the round with a decent shot at the title: Jarl Teien, Robbin Heijerman, Simon Cattell, and Sampsa Jurvansuu. Jurvansuu needed a win and the others to finish mid-pack or worse, while the others were all very close together. A cracker of a race was on tap.

The third and final oval race of the LFSCART season took place at the Kyoto Oval Reversed, for 310 miles. Usually the last round of the season, this event has now taken a place as the second to last round of the season. The race being a bit of a lottery, would make it critical for the championship contenders to run cleanly and finish at the sharp end of the field to keep their hopes alive into the finale.
Simon Cattell was dropped to the back after early race troubles, and needing a high finish to stay alive, charged forward through the run to end up in the top 5 with about 20 laps remaining. Sure lock for the title, Jarl Teien just needed a finish to stay alive, but a higher finish would have kept him in the lead. However, his oval bad luck came when he least needed it, finishing behind his closest contenders.
Cattell would win the race in a 3-lap sprint with a brilliant bit of defensive driving on the last lap, with Robbin Heijerman arriving second. The race ran the first half caution-free, but the second half saw many cautions. The race ran at a respectable average speed of 149.247 mph despite the many late-race cautions.
The series finale is on September 3rd, from Kyoto Grand Prix Long with the Boothy Chicane.

The third from last round of the LFSCART series, also the penultimate road course round was held in Jamaica on the weekend of the 13th of August. Fern Bay Gold Reversed was the circuit, a track that is narrow and twisty, be it forward or reversed. Again, championship contenders Robbin Heijerman and Sebastian Hutchinson missed this round, leaving an opportunity for the chasers to catch; including Jarl Teien, Simon Cattell, Sampsa Jurvansuu and others in that area to close the gap.

The LFSCART series took a massive change in types of track from the previous round. South City is the polar opposite to Westhill: Westhill, a fast, flowing track; South City Long a tight, twisty track. This was the 6th round of 9, and with the top 3 in the championship mssing the round due to holidays, everyone was ready to take the opportunity to gain ground.
The day belonged to one man - Jarno Lehikoinen. Taking pole, and leading dominantly from the start, only lost the lead for a short time during pitstops. Championship contender Simon Cattell gained the most ground on the championship lead, cutting his deficit nearly in half with a second place finish. Action throughout the field was mostly confined to the middle of the pack, with some good battles, which all were largely clean. The only Safety Car of the race came out late in the race, when David Jundt flipped at the hairpin after contact with another car.
The series heads next to Fern Bay Gold Reversed for 69 laps of the tricky Jamaican circuit, on August 6th. That race will be broadcast live on multiBC Stream I.

After the month of June, the teams and drivers of LFSCART returned to the road racing realm. With 5 races left, the championship race would be wide open still, and a tricky track that can heavily punish mistakes could facilitate that happening.
