The third season of the iCON Touring Car Championship kicked off on the 23rd of January, and 60 drivers attempted to collect one of the 21 open spots for the race in the reserve shootouts. The "bus wars" began in earnest, with the usual incredibly close qualifying times, followed by some close racing action. As is usual, no driver won more than one race on the round, thanks to ballasting and grid reversals. Race 2 was the sloppiest, with multiple Safety Cars and a major crash on lap one seeing several cars heavily damaged.
The series heads next to the bump-drafting friendly Kyoto National on February 6th.

The sixth and final round of the 2010 iCON Touring Car championship was held at the same venue as last year's finale, this time in reverse, for three races of 12 laps each. Sebastian Hutchinson took the pole position, and battled it out with the My3id pairing of Reno Koots and Karolis Kliaudaitis in the first two races. Going into the final race of the season Kliaudaitis had a 4 point lead, but with 10 points separating 6 drivers, it was all to play for. But despite their best efforts, van Buren, Dolezal and de Jong could not get enough points to pass the Lithuanian. Congratulations to Kliaudaitis, My3id Gaming #2 for the teams championship, and thanks to all the racers and broadcast viewers throughout the season.

The fifth and penultimate round of the 2010 iCON Touring Car championship was held at the classic Blackwood Grand Prix track, for three races of 17 laps each. The Dutch pairing of Rudy van Buren and Nick Catsburg, 1st and 3rd in the championship points, were not in attendance. In line with most of the rounds this year, the excitement and action levels built up culminating in the only Safety Car of the round in race 3. This allowed Petr Dolezal to take the race 3 win and the championship lead by 2 points.. The final and title deciding round is from Aston National Reverse on Sunday, May 9th.

The fourth round of the 2010 iCON Touring Car championship was held at Fern Bay Gold for three races of 16 laps each. This was the series first visit to Fern Bay Gold running the standard configuration. Last season saw three chaotic races, and this year, the first two races had made the safety car appear on track, but the final race was safety car free. Rudy van Buren is the first driver this season to win more than one of a round's races, and Nicolas Vallee took another win on the season. Round 5 is from Blackwood Grand Prix on Sunday, March 11th.

We're halfway through the 2010 iCON Touring Car Championship season, and the third round was held at the tight, treacharous South City Town Course circuit, in reversed configuration. On the whole, action was clean, with only two safety cars needed throughout the weekend. A season low 32 drivers took part in pre-qualifying, and only 25 in the shooouts. Nonetheless, a full grid was had, and for the third time this season, no driver has repeated a victory. Three drivers were disqualified due to varying infringements in Races 2 and 3.
