The now traditional 12-hour race finale to the GT Amateur League season saw the teams at Blackwood Grand Prix. This track is small, in both length and width, but so selected for this long race due to its eveness amongst all car types. The race proved to be a true test of endurance, with multiple cars retiring due to flips, as well as the longer distance taking its toll on focus. The champhionship battle was back and forth during the race, but an unfortunate timeout for Sonicrealms Racing just past the 5 hours to go mark saw them all but eliminated, but brought multiple other cars into the fight, which was ultimately won by Team Identity.
Ginger Racing took the race win, with a consistent race. GraVt Racing Team and The Danish Racing Team capped off their strong seasons with a top 3.
New Dimension Racing would like to thank all teams and drivers for participating in this season of GT Amateur League, we have appreciated your efforts, and hope you enjoyed this season's racing. GTAL 2012 should be expected to begin around its traditional September to October start with applications in that period.

We've arrived to the final round of the 3rd season of the GT Amateur League Season, this time closing things out at Blackwood. The track is tight and treacharous, but pre-season restrictions testing showed it was very close between all three makes of cars. The race will be challenging, and qualifying very important to get a good starting position.
Genuine Racing take provisional pole after Qualifying 1, just shy of being under 1:10. Auto Motive Godz provisionally second, only 0.07 behind Genuine. Ginger Racing are the first XRR, on 4th, with all three car makes in the top 4. Still many cars yet to set a time, so this order may change quite a bit after today's Qualifying Session 2.

A busy second session saw the administration busy ensuring there were no invalid laps. Each session saw the track full, making traffic management a key. There was one protest lodged for alleged blocking, but was found to not be the case. The story was Genuine Racing stealing pole with a blistering 2:21.99 laptime. They are just shy of 4 tenths of a second ahead of the second place time. Still, times were close in the session amongst many positions. Racing expected to be close here this round, with many corners that can make or break a lap.
