We are just a group of mates who have been causing trouble together long before LFS was a glint in Scaviers eye. The team has been in existence for about two years now. We are all based in central Scotland and whilst we may lack outright pace at the highest level, we don’t do too badly considering the Irn Bru, deep fried Mars Bars suppers and Whisky chasers have been known to cause a sticky steering wheel and lead to some slight driver input errors!

Driver Biographies

Mark Ruis (HVS5b): A mountaineer at heart, at home in the hills anywhere from the high Alps to the gentle Pentland Hills near my home town of Edinburgh. Loves his LFS sessions whenever he’s not in a tent stuck in some god-forsaken part of the Scottish Highlands, some 10 miles from the nearest road doing battle with the mighty Culicoides impunctatus. Also a complete technophobe who is forever grateful to his team-mates as they confuse him with techno-babble but prevent him reformatting crucial hardware and the like. Mark has also been known to do a days work here and there, but trust me when I say it’s too dull to mention!
 
Keith Newton (Turbo Dad): Adrenalin Junkie Weekend Warrior (or casualty judging by the amount  of broken bones and metal plates) His racing budget was dramatically slashed with the introduction of a ‘mini’ Turbo Dad , so LFS is now his playground (and just within budget).He’s been driving around Blackwood since ’04 and spends more time doing tech support for team mates computers than actual racing. Track time is restricted to after bedtime story with stringent noise constraints.
 
Stuart Abernethy (SabersKunk): Technology and motorsport inspired social recluse. He loves new gadgets and follows F1 like it's a religion. He watches almost anything that has wheels and is being raced, from remote controlled cars to lawn mowers. He has been playing LFS for 5 years and has covered 143,000 racing miles, just shy of 50,000 racing laps. Stuart has spent some time racing with ConeDodgers and loves nothing more than a close, clean race....... that he wins.
 
Chris Ness (nessie): Loves a race in anything that moves! From a young age Chris had a healthy appetite to pedals! Often he’d be found thrashing his mothers sewing machine, pushing that pedal to the max, he could make that singer sing until it sang no more! As he got a bit older he’d often abuse the the bigger boys in the slums where he lived with his single alcoholic mother in a tenement and soon learned to literally Live for Speed. Often having to out wit the law, his bikes were ridden to destruction, pushing them to beyond there limits, bruised and bleeding this did not deter the fate of the rest of his wheels to this day. None or all of the above may actually be true.
