Sonicrealms Racing was founded in October 2002, but the team roots date back to 1983, with a group of friends and brothers on the Commodore 64 and then the Amiga. Even back then, the founders all had an interest in SIM Racing, from Pitstop, Lotus Turbo Esprit, Indy 500, Grand Prix Legends and anything else that came along. Then the day came when Mark and KayJay discovered Live For Speed, only one month after public release. Christmas 2003 saw the release of the MRT, and the community had its first car for single seater racing, a staple racing genre for the team in the coming years.

Since the early days, Live For Speed has developed into one of the best online gaming communities around, with hundreds of well populated servers and league competitions running all year, while Sonicrealms Racing has become bigger and better. In 2007 the founding members began moves to open the doors to new members and ever since the team has never looked back. The main philosophy behind this decision was based upon the Live For Speed early days, when the whole community would help each other with setups. The founders wanted a team that they could race with, cleanly and fairly, just like they got in the early days of Live For Speed. This policy has meant that Sonicrealms Racing has always been one of the most active teams in Live For Speed, meaning that you can always find our drivers racing on servers in the traditional Sonicrealms Racing way; Cleanly and Fairly.

In 2008 the team took another step forward, as the community grew, and we unearthed some potential gems in the Live For Speed world. New drivers joined, and expressed a desire to drive in the bigger leagues in Live For Speed. With these new drivers, the team competed in its first full season of the IGTC championship, with the aim of learning about the Endurance field. This led to the team receiving an invitation to compete in the prestigious Masters of Endurance series in the GT2 class.

At the start of 2009, the team's line-up has never been stronger, and we look forward to taking part in our second season of Masters of Endurance and continued success in the Open Wheel Racing League and IGTC. The team has never forgotten where it has come from since the beginning of Live For Speed, and we know where we want to get to, with people who share the team's philosophy of clean and fair racing, whether it be in a public server, or fighting for the Masters of Endurance title.
